This has been a long time coming. We make our own websites and recently realized that Weddings with a Heart needed a makeover. To give you some background, we first started offering wedding officiant and photography services in RI in 2002. We bought a book called Frontpage for Dummies and launched our new website RI Home and Garden Weddings! You can only imagine what it looked like. I collected all kinds of flower backgrounds, and I don't even know how we managed to put up a website. But since we were the first non-traditional wedding officiant service in RI, we quickly became very busy. After 3 years, we became adventurous and picked out a spot on the map and moved to a little town called Calabash NC. We found a cute little house and were surprised to learn was a few miles from the most beautiful quaint beach we had ever seen. This is where we ended up doing most of our weddings. Sunset Beach! We named our business Beachpeople Weddings. After 10 years we sold this business and moved back to our home to RI. when we had to choose a new name, we knew that we wouldn't just be doing weddings on the beach so we pondered what we should call ourselves. I said to Don, what do we have in our weddings. And right away I blurted out "Heart", we have heart! Now we have been here for 10 years and are loving it! We love what we do! Welcome to our new blog!
